Please!!

My little heart went pitter-patter this morning on my daily trawl through the press.

Apparently Chris Grayling might hang on to his seat, but is unlikely to hang on to his job.

I am not a vindictive man, but the sheer callousness of so many of his measures makes me yearn to see the back of him .

  1. Maybe Justice Secretary role is to be cut as part of Austerity????????

  2. I know that I should not be vindictive but I sincerely hope that he loses his seat. This man has overseen the destruction of the criminal justice system in England & Wales. I was brought up to believe, and initially found it to be true, that our justice system was the finest in the world. As a direct result of this man's actions we now have a criminal justice system that a banana republic would reject as not fit for purpose. I really worry how we will ever put the damage right.

    Any specific quest in view?

  6. Maybe we will end up with someone who knows even less what they are doing and ignores even more those who actually do.

  7. I think in his particular case the Justice bit was cut long ago.

  8. How much is down to his policies and how much to his supine obeisance to the civil servants who have their own agenda?

    1. You may have a point there (although Grayling has always driven politically on the Right side of the road).

There is undoubtedly a cadre of civil servants in the MoJ who pursue their agendas, whomever is Minister

    2. Agreed.......these 'Court Costs; are undoubtedly unCivil Service driven

    3. I'm not sure Grayling is one to be told what to do. He spent 2 years with Iain Duncan-Smith at DWP and wreaked havoc there. He was a Management Consultant in a previous life. Enough said!!

    4. At least he had a previous life, which is more than can be said for most of today's 'politicians'. Still doesn't excuse what he has done to our beautiful judiciary.

Posts are pre-moderated. Please bear with us if this takes a little time, but the number of bores and obsessives was getting out of hand, as were the fake comments advertising rubbish.
