Musings and Snippets from a recently retired JP. I served for 31 years, mostly in west London. I was Chairman of my Bench for some years, and a member of the National Bench Chairmen's Forum All cases are based on real ones, but anonymised and composited. From The High Court
A judge said this yesterday, in the case of Prince Jefri of Brunei:-
The judge said: “If he is arrested he will have to come before me. It will take an advocate of great skill to persuade me that he should have bail.”
I wish I could say things like that and get away with it.
