Now That's What I Call a Correction
My son has pointed out the following Correction issued in the last few days: Unbeatable.
There is a legend that American soldiers on D-Day stormed ashore shouting 'Vive La Fayette' under the impression that this was some (presumably attractive) French lady.
Posts are pre-moderated. Please bear with us if this takes a little time, but the number of bores and obsessives was getting out of hand, as were the fake comments advertising rubbish.
There is quite a well known Human Rights lawyer called Gareth Peirce whom (to my shame)I once thought was a man. She is in fact female!!

I have known a bookshop to make the same mistake about Joyce Carey.
