Coincidence?
Thanks to the Times for the following letter:-
Sir,
The address for Merseyside Police’s Camera Enforcement Unit is “Liverpool, PO Box 1984”. Most apt.
I'm going to say "no coincidence" - I'd guess that when they applied for a box the Royal Mail employee charged with allocating the number decided to pick something s/he felt was appropriate.
I've had a PO box in the past. You don't get to pick your own number.
