It Goes On...

Thanks to the irreverent Popbitch for this:-

Leveson lawyer Robert Jay has been made a high court judge. Which means he'll
now be referred to as Jay J

I have met Judge Judge , and my local surgery has a Doctor Doctor.

Where do we go from here?

  3. For many years, we were treated by a Dr Death. His family came from Ath (a Belgian town), and his name hailed his origins.

  5. Interesting. I had a Lance Corporal Sergeant in my troop in the early 70s and always wondered if he would make Sergeant Sergeant.

  6. Clearly, next up should be Major Major Major Major, who was promoted to that rank by a computer with the same sense of humour as his parents.

How lucky you all are. My carpenter's called the italian equivalent of Baker; my baker ,of Priest; my priest, of Smith; my locksmith, of Shoemaker; may shoemaker, of Shepherd , and so forth and so on. What beat it all was a judge that used to be rather well known. Her surname was Milan dialect for "poultry-thief"

  18. Rather late but the Politics department at the University of Hull has a lecturer Dr Doctor. This is universally regarded as awesome, although it sometimes scares freshers who don't realise you can use lecturers first names.
